Matthew Clay Architects are a Chartered RIBA Practice based in Corsham near to the World Heritage setting of Bath.
We are imaginative, energetic and successful in what we do, taking great pride in the results we achieve. The practice draws upon a wealth of experience throughout its close-knit and highly-talented staff, who share a collective passion for considered, innovative design.
Each project, irrespective of budget, size or timescale, is unique and viewed from a fresh perspective; this perspective is always client- and context-driven.
We love to collaborate with any individuals and companies who champion good design, and have a large network of creative talent to call upon.
WHAT WE DO . . .
Matthew Clay Architects are
Listeners.
We want to hear what our clients have to say throughout the design process. This allows us to fully understand any requirements and, in so doing, maximise the chances of ensuring the best possible outcome from a project.
Facilitators.
We enable clients to realise their dreams and aspirations. From the earliest outline discussions, we actively encourage clients to put forward their own ideas and engage with us as initial ideas develop into more detailed plans and, ultimately, into a built reality.
Communicators.
We aim to communicate our thoughts clearly through sketches, digital visualisations, physical models and - perhaps most importantly - through ongoing design discussions. From first concept chats to on-site detail meetings, a full dialogue is vital to ensure the design process realises the best possible outcome.
Learners.
We are always learning from our clients. Each brief and project is treated as unique and, while we rely on our expertise for any given design, we always view it as a fresh challenge that can be learnt from.
