Part I Architectural Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and creative Part I Architectural Assistant to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enjoy substantive responsibilites across all RIBA Work Stages, working within a supportive and collaborative studio environment.


The Role

We are a small team, and your contribution will play a big part in the success of projects. You will work closely with the wider design team, clients, and contractors, contributing to a range of live projects from concept through to delivery.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with design development, planning and technical drawing packages, and works on site;

  • Producing drawings, models, schedules and documentation to support the above; and

  • Attending (and contributing to!) design meetings and site visits.


About You

  • RIBA Part I (including undergraduate placement students);

  • Enthusiastic, energetic, organised, and keen to both learn from us and to add your value and knowledge to our studio;

  • Previous experience of professional practice;

  • Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively;

  • Strong design and graphic skills;

  • Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp (and  Enscape), Adobe Creative Suite (or similar); and

  • Good understanding of UK planning and building regulations (desirable).

  • NB: A UK driving licence and access to a private car is preferable given the location of our studio and sites, but not essential.
